A corresponding hygiene concept is updated on an ongoing basis in keeping with the pandemic’s progress and in coordination with the relevant authorities and NürnbergMesse GmbH, the site operator.
Planning your participation
We ask that you only travel for and attend Spielwarenmesse if you are in good health. Unfortunately, you cannot attend the fair if you have had contact with a confirmed COVID-19 case or experienced symptoms of a respiratory infection or a fever in the previous 14 days.
Trade visitors can obtain tickets, which are available online only. For tracking and tracing purposes, you are required to specify the days on which you will attend Spielwarenmesse when purchasing your ticket.
We are working closely with the Nuremberg Convention and Tourism Office to provide the optimal basis for your health and safety away from the exhibition centre as well. Hotels must implement the applicable hygiene and infection control standards. Before travelling by public transport, please check for information from the operator. There is sufficient parking at the exhibition grounds for those travelling by car.
As the fair organiser, we already give exhibitors recommendations and information in the run-up to the expo on complying with social distancing and the possible hygiene offerings right from the stand design and expo planning stage.
Detailed information and guidelines on the design of the exhibition stands will be communicated before the stand areas are formally confirmed.
All fair participants will be informed about the hygiene and conduct rules at the exhibition grounds. These include: social distancing of at least 1.5 metres indoors and outdoors, refraining from shaking hands, and observance of cough and sneeze etiquette. We also expressly recommend frequent and thorough hand washing. A sufficient number of hand washing and sanitiser stations will be available at the grounds.
Face masks must be worn indoors at all times. Therefore, they must be carried and worn even if the minimum required distance can be maintained.
Washrooms and frequently touched surfaces will be regularly cleaned and disinfected.
Complete air changes several times an hour are guaranteed thanks to modern ventilation systems with separate supply and exhaust air flows.
Spielwarenmesse has sufficient space to allow for social distancing of at least 1.5 metres. Signage systems, trained personnel and electronic control systems will ensure that large numbers of people do not gather at any one point.
Hospitality at the expo is based on a comprehensive concept that meets statutory requirements as well as the specific rules applicable to catering in the state of Bavaria. Contactless payment will be accepted in all hospitality areas.
Anyone entering the event area will be required to register in advance to facilitate contact tracing in the event of a subsequently identified COVID-19 case. Furthermore, participants in meetings and customer discussions at stands will have to be documented. In the event of a confirmed infection, the health authorities will ensure that all potential contacts are informed on this basis.
Qualified medical staff will be available to you on the grounds at all times. The ambulance service will be present throughout the entire expo, from assembly to dismantling. We will coordinate closely with the Klinikum Süd hospital, which is located very near the exhibition grounds.
